The Challenge

BUSINESS GOALS

Make KIM a clearer and more effective conversation guide for insurance advisors during the consultation and sales process.
Create a stronger customer experience that helps the advisor explain complex retirement products more clearly. Support both the insurance advisor and the end customer with one intuitive application.

PROBLEM

KIM was experienced as confusing, overly numeric, and not intuitive enough for either the customer or the advisor. The application did not adequately support consultation, personalization, or transparent comparison of offers.

The Process

DISCOVER & DEFINE

We started by researching both target groups: insurance advisors and end customers. Through observation, interviews, and usability testing, we identified key issues such as missing support for advisors, weak visual communication, unclear offer logic, and a lack of personalization for younger customers.

Based on the findings, we redesigned the information architecture and built a clearer user flow. The concept introduced a dashboard-like interface, a personalized start page, interactive infographics, a virtual advisor, and a more transparent comparison of retirement options.

The Outcome

RESULTS

The final concept turned KIM into a more structured, personal, and understandable consultation tool. It supports the advisor during the conversation while helping the customer better understand their retirement situation and compare options more confidently.

KEY LEARNINGS

We learned that complex financial topics need strong structure, clear language, and visual guidance to feel accessible. We also learned that close coordination, fast feedback loops, and repeated refinement are essential when designing for both professional users and end customers.
